I Made Liam Budalasia
I Made Liam Budalasia is a producer, beat maker and mix engineer who creates under the name ‘TUTUP MULUT’. Most recently he has released his debut album “SIBUK?”, a very important milestone for him and his community. He has just begun an internship at local game company Larrikin Interactive, learning new software for implementing music and sound into their game ‘Diets and Deities’, while further developing his skills as a producer and mix engineer. Over the past two years he has worked on Spark film initiative projects as a composer and producer, was the recipient of the NXT Gen Arts Grant program and was the most recent Brown’s Mart Artist in Residence.
Liam is one half of the audio-visual performance act ‘JIWA’ alongside printmaker and DJ Jocelyn Tribe (Demirep). This year, the duo had the opportunity to play at the Adelaide Fringe Festival at an immersive venue called The Lab. They are currently developing their first album and aim to release it later on this year.
